Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on November 25, 1968, in Canada is a Canadian actress and musician that was honored for her outstanding contribution for American television. The show has been highly praised for her stellar performance on the American TV show Law & Order in which she as Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons and Crossing Jordan, wherein she was Jordan Cavanaugh the main character for six years. Hennessy was also able to showcase her talent in movies like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. In addition, she created and directed these movies. Hennessy's acting career began in 1988 when she and her twin sister were the characters in Dead Ringers. The actress sat for a few minutes on Broadway performing Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, and then delved into the world of science fiction in 1993 in the role of Doctor. Marie Lazarus. Her big break occurred later that year when she joined the ensemble of the cult NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid.
