Summer Glau is an American actor who was famous for playing River Tam in the critically well-reviewed TV series Firefly and also as Cameron in the show Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles. Selena was a professional at the age of eighteen in a band formed by the late Abraham Quintanilla. Selena along with her siblings Abraham junior and sister Suzette were drummers. Selena sang for the group. Selena Y Los Dino was the band's name and Selena could be seen singing with other siblings at bars, restaurants and wedding celebrations. The band was very and time-consuming for Selena and her family, which is why they didn't have much of an early childhood, but they were encouraged to become dedicated musicians because of determination from the father Abraham. Abraham senior was also a musician with the group that first formed, Los Dinos. Selena Y Los Dinos were officially founded in the year 1981. The band was a tradition of the family and the major source of income for the family. Even though there were times of struggle starting out with very little funds, the Quintanilla family were determined and persevered in their quest to create an effective band. Selena Y Los Dinos would become popular throughout the west Americas in the 80s. Selena was awarded the Female Vocalist Award and the Performer's year prize at the Tejano awards in 1986. Selena Y Los Dinos gained the attention and recognition they deserve after this. They were featured on a variety of Spanish language television shows including El Show De Johnny Canales Siempre En Domingo and Sabado Gigante.
