Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinct blend with soul-jazz R&B as well as R&B. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Sunshine has performed all over the world. Sunshine is Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in churches. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the city's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single with her voice on it, Stalk You the House came out only in Japan. It's had numerous remixes and it is a mainstay in her live performance. The singer has also provided her vocals in The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Director of Choral for Dreamgirls, the theatre production that was part of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's inaugural in 2009.
